The Animation School Fees Schedule

The Animation School fees: Below Is the Official The Animation School Fee schedule to be paid by each student respectively for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The following policies and procedures are applicable to all students who officially register for programmes at The Animation School. The Institute reserves the right to change School Fees without prior notice to the student. However, fee changes are subject to approval by the Governing Council.

Tuition Fees – South African Applicants

Payment Option 1 – Full settlement of R77,000-00 (R3,000-00 saving)

• Offered as of 1 March 2023 to 31 October 2023.
   Deposit of R20,000-00 on registration secures a place in the course for 2023
   Balance of R57,000-00 due on or before 31 October 2023
• Students registering after 31 October 2023 will be required to pay the full amount of R77,000-00 on registration to benefit from the R3,000-00 discount.
• Account payers to budget an additional R6,000-00 per year for compulsory books, software and materials.

Payment Option 2 – Instalment plan R80,000-00 (deposit + 4 instalments)

• Offered as of 1 March 2023 to 24 January 2023.
• Payable as follows:
   Deposit of R15,000-00 on registration secures a place in the course for 2023
   R16,250-00 payable on or before 29 February 2023
   R16,250-00 payable on or before 30 April 2023
   R16,250-00 payable on or before 30 June 2023
   R16,250-00 payable on or before 31 August 2023
• Account payers to budget an additional R6,000-00 per year for compulsory books, software and materials.

Payment Option 3 – Extended Instalment plan R85,000-00 (deposit + 12 instalments)

• Offered as of 1 March 2023 to 24 January 2023.
• Payable as follows:
   Deposit of R10,000-00 on registration secures a place in the course for 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 31 December 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 31 January 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 29 February 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 31 March 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 30 April 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 31 May 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 30 June 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 31 July 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 31 August 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 30 September 2023
   R6,250-00 payable on or before 30 October 2023

2023 Tuition Fees – Rest of Africa Applicants

Payment Option 1 – Full settlement of R77,000-00

• Offered as of 1 March 2023 to 31 October 2023.
   Deposit of R20,000-00 on registration secures a place in the course for 2023 (Non-refundable)
   Balance of R57,000-00 due on or before 31 October 2023
• Students registering after 31 October 2023 will be required to pay the full amount of R77,000-00 on registration.
• Account payers to budget an additional R6,000-00 per year for compulsory books, software and materials.
• The above South African applicants’ payment options do not apply to International applicants.

2023 Tuition Fees – International Applicants

This applies to applicants who are not African citizens.

Payment Option 1 – Full settlement of R110,000-00 (quoted in South African Rand)

• Details:
   International Administration fee of R28,000-00
   Tuition Fee of R82,000-00
• Full amount payable on registration secures a place in the course for 2023.
• The above South African & Rest of African payment options do not apply to International applicants.
• Account payers to budget an additional R6,000-00 per year for compulsory books, software and materials.
• For additional information please refer to Payment Rules & Regulations listed on page 5 & 6.
• Financial assistance is not available to International applicants.
• International applications close at 4pm on 30 September 2023.

Payment Rules & Regulations

Limited Space:

• The Animation School have a limited number of students per course. Students wishing to confirm their place for the 2023 intake need to register as soon as possible or they could be excluded from the 2023 academic year.
• Registration is confirmed once payment and the completed registration form have been received.

Additional Expenses:

• Tuition fees do not include compulsory books, digital drawing equipment and/or removable hard drives required to complete day to day responsibilities.
• Account payers are required to budget approximately R6,000-00 per year for these additional expenses.
• Students are required to have their own computer to work on at home, after hours and during holidays.

Payment Notes:

• Once registered, the student/account payer are financially committed for 1 full academic year.
• The above prices include tuition for 1 academic year and are valid from 1 March 2023 to 24 January 2023.
• For the safety of our staff and students we do not accept cash payments on campus. Direct deposits or electronic transfer are accepted.
• Please note we do not have credit card facilities.

Non-Payment of Fees:

The following action will be taken if fees are not paid:

• Students will be suspended from campus and access will be revoked until payment is up to date.
• A late payment fee of R440-00 per month will be charged on all overdue amounts.
• Student results will be withheld until the account is up to date.
• The account will be handed over for debt collection and the account payer will be liable for all legal costs incurred in the collection.

Annual Fee Increase:

• Account payers are advised to budget for an annual fee increase.
